As we headed into 2020, few people could ever have dreamed the world would be battling a pandemic barely three months in. Yet here we are, with so many countries around the world – the UK included – implementing strict measures for social distancing and self-isolation amid the coronavirus outbreak.
While the outbreak is at the forefront of everyone’s mind, some things still need to be done. If your roof has sprung a leak, it still needs fixing, otherwise you’re going to suffer damage inside your home. The same applies if you’ve got broken or missing sections of guttering.
Can you still hire a guttering or roofing expert to safely complete the work?
Yes. We can provide a service that does not require any direct contact with you or anyone in your household. If you’re self-isolating because you or someone in your household has symptoms, don’t worry. Everything can be done remotely to protect you, your family, and our staff – and still get the job done.
How does this process work?
You can send us photos of the roof or guttering that needs to be repaired or replaced. This is easy to do, and it gives us an idea of what’s involved. One of our guttering experts or roofing tradesmen can talk to you on the phone to discuss the job. Photos combined with a quick chat to discover the details are usually all that’s needed to get started. We can quote as usual, of course, so you’ll know ahead of time what the cost would be.
There is also no need for anyone to enter your home. Since all the work is done outside anyway, we’ll be able to remove old roofing materials or guttering and replace them with new. If a simple repair is required, we’ll handle that instead. And if our workers need to talk to you while the repairs are being done, they’ll phone you, so you know what’s going on.
How can you pay for the work?
You don’t need to worry about any cash or cheques changing hands. We’ll give you the appropriate bank details, so you can make a transfer from your account to ours. Any questions? We’re always at the end of the phone, or if you prefer you can send an email. At no point does there need to be any direct contact, thanks to the various procedures we’ve got in place.
Keeping everyone safe
Rest assured our primary concern is the safety of you, your family, and all our workers. No one can be sure what the outcome of the COVID-19 outbreak will be, but we know if we all work together, we can still solve day-to-day problems concerning your home and those vital repairs that need to be done. Some of them can’t wait to be resolved.
Call us today and let’s see how we can help. Until then, stay safe and remember we’re working hard as normal to support you when you need us most.
